Special Workshops for Local Greene County High School Students

Last week, as part of my work at Tusculum University, I had an opportunity to teach a workshop for approximately 20 local high school students called Understanding Data Ownership, Privacy, and Security in the Digital Age.

I have to say the students were fairly well prepared about keeping their personal data private and secure. At the same time, they were surprised at just what rights they give up to companies, and how often breeches that they can’t control happen.

The goal was to help them be even more secure in today’s increasing interconnected world.
