As a parent of two teenagers, I often wonder if they think about the future. When you add in autism we see more instances of them not planning more than a few minutes in the future.
So it might seem funny, but when our eldest identified that he was out of his chicken after cooking the last of it, so we needed to get more for the next day, it showed thinking in a future tense.
Sometimes you don’t expect something so simple to provide so much joy.
